Deleting your account

You can delete your Gigtime account — and all its data — yourself, no support ticket needed. Deletion is deliberate by design: there's a typed confirmation and a 30-day grace period before anything is destroyed.

Requesting deletion

  1. Go to Settings → General, find the Account card, and click Delete next to "Delete Account".
  2. Read the dialog. It says exactly what will happen: "Your account will be scheduled for permanent deletion in 30 days. During this period, you can log back in to cancel the deletion. After 30 days, all data is permanently deleted."
  3. Type DELETE into the confirmation field — the button stays disabled until you do.
  4. Click Delete My Account. You're signed out immediately.

The 30-day grace period

Nothing is erased right away. Your account sits scheduled for deletion for 30 days, during which:

  • Changed your mind? Just sign back in. Logging in within the window cancels the deletion, and your account carries on as if nothing happened.
  • You'll receive email reminders about the pending deletion (these are system emails and can't be turned off — that's on purpose).

After 30 days with no sign-in, the account and all of its data — entries, clients, projects, invoices, everything — are permanently deleted. There's no recovery after that point.

Before you go

  • If there's any chance you'll want your records later, export your entries to CSV and download PDFs of important invoices first. Once deletion completes, the data cannot be retrieved by you or by support.
  • If you have an active Pro subscription, cancel it too — deletion of the account doesn't automatically stop billing on Apple or Google, since those subscriptions live in your App Store/Play account. See Managing your subscription.
