Free vs Pro
Gigtime has two plans. The free plan isn't a demo — it's the full tracking-and-invoicing workflow, with no limits on clients, projects, or tracked time. Pro adds the reporting and polish layer on top, plus much higher email sending limits.
Throughout these docs, a page that covers a Pro feature says so in a box at the top and carries a PRO pill in the sidebar. Where only part of a page is Pro, the sentence that describes it says "part of Pro".
What's free
- Unlimited clients and projects
- Unlimited time entries, the timer, and real-time sync across all devices
- Full invoicing — create, send by email with PDF, record payments, track opens (see Limits for the monthly invoice cap on new accounts and the email sending limits)
- CSV import from AND.CO, Toggl, Clockify, Harvest, or any CSV (guide)
- Notes, tasks, contacts, deposits, hour caps, and recurring charges that the wizard adds for you
- Apps on web, iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux
The free plan is ad-supported: banner ads on mobile and web, and occasional upgrade prompts on desktop (for instance, after stopping the timer or creating an invoice). Free invoices and report PDFs carry a small "Powered by Gigtime" footer.
What Pro adds
- Reports — every date range beyond This Week, on the Reports page
- Scheduled reports — automatic recurring report emails
- CSV export — entries and report data
- White-label invoicing — no "Powered by Gigtime" on PDFs; invoice emails carry your logo, brand color, and business name
- Custom email domains — send invoice and report emails from your own address
- Hour banks — cap billed hours and bank the overflow, or run prepaid retainers, with a running balance on every invoice; the Track-only preset is free
- Recurring invoices — repeat an invoice weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly; Gigtime drafts the next one on schedule
- Automatic reminders — reminder emails to clients before, on, and after the due date, scheduled per invoice, plus a one-tap reminder
- Higher sending limits — up to 1,000 invoice emails per rolling week (30/hour), versus 25 per week (5/hour) on free — see sending limits

When you reach the invoice cap, the New Invoice button explains it and offers Pro; nothing you already created is blocked. When you reach an email limit, sending resumes as older sends age out of the window, and Gigtime warns you in-app and by email at about 80% of the weekly allowance.
Pricing
Subscriptions are billed through the platform you subscribe on, and prices differ slightly because of store fees:

Annual billing saves about 16% versus monthly. Your subscription works on every platform no matter where you bought it — subscribing on the web at $3.99/month unlocks Pro on your phone too.
From time to time Gigtime runs launch promotions — currently the Founders Special: the annual plan for $24.99/year, locked in for life (the price never goes up as long as you stay subscribed). Active promotions are shown right on the plan card on the subscription page.
